The softball team split a conference doubleheader against John Jay on Tuesday afternoon.
They dropped the first game in a heartbreaker, 2-1, in 10 innings.
Jaime DeSapio scored the winning run for John Jay, as she batted 2-for-4 with a single and double. John Jay coach Patrick Malia won his 200th career game in the victory.
In the second game, Baruch won, 2-1, behind the pitching of Ally Stamatiades. She pitched seven innings and recorded seven strikeouts, while Rose Tejada batted 2-for-3 with a home run, single, and two runs scored.
Nathalie Laureano also hit her first home run of the season.
